Earn Commissions
If you help sign up a subscriber, you can earn a commission of 5%. The commission will be for the duration of a contiguous subscription. Of course this is not allowed if you are subscribing your own workplace.

Subscription Services
Intake Interview
All new subscribers will be offered a conference call intake interview. This will be scheduled during the free trial week or the first week of a paid subscription and it should last about 30 minutes. The interview will allow your Perl staff and myself to learn about each other and to work out the best ways to have Perl On Call help you.
Unlimited Email Support
Each subscriber will get their own mailing list (e.g. yourcompany@PerlOnCall.com) which will only be accessible to myself and your Perl staff. I use the term 'unlimited email' in the sense of no pre-set limit. Obviously you shouldn't expect 40 solid hours of email support for only $500. But some weeks a client may get more and some weeks less than the weekly average. If you feel like you are not getting enough support, let me know and we can create a solution.
Unlimited IRC Support
I am usually on irc.perl.org net with a nick of 'uri'. You can message me or create a channel for your staff and I so that we can discuss Perlish things. This is a good way to work on little problems such as regexes and one-liners. It is also a way to have discussions amongst several of your staff where we can work on your Perl issues. As with email, unlimited means there is no preset fixed limit.
Telephone Support
Phone support can be the most effective way to work out a solution to a complex problem. Conference calls are the sometimes most effective communications medium for certain situations. I will guide the flow of the conversation so it is focused and effective but I will also keep it from being irritatingly dull. Calls must be scheduled in advance and there is a maximum total phone time per week in each subscription plan.
Response Time
All email queries will be acknowledged by the next business day. In most cases you will get a very quick reply with my initial take on your issue. Commonly, email threads will develop when we get into a discussion about some interesting problem your group is working on. In that case the response time will be very rapid. Sometimes answers will take longer to find and I will keep you informed about the status of your query. My goal is to be able to resolve your Perl queries in a time frame that works for you.
Coverage Hours
Hours and days will vary but I expect to be available over 40 hours a week.

Payment Terms
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are in weeks which are are from Sunday to Saturday. There is a four week minimum order and a subscription can be cancelled any time after that. Subscription weeks must be paid up in advance. After payment is received, you will be credited with the number of weeks ordered plus any bonus weeks. When your subscription term is nearing its end, I will send out a reminder. And no subscriber cards will fall out of these pages and into your lap.
Hourly Work
Extra help beyond your subscription can be done on an hourly basis. Hourly rates are $85/hour for subscribers and $95 for non-subscribers. Hourly work will be billed weekly and is 7 days net.
